The Western Railways (WR) have short-terminated a few long-distance trains at Borivali station instead of Bandra Terminus due to technical reasons.

This decision has been taken to avoid delays and inconvenience to passengers.

According to Sumit Thakur, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, the details of these trains are as under:

Train No. 19004 Bhusaval - Bandra Terminus Khandesh Express will be short terminated at Borivali station instead of Bandra Terminus station for the trips running on Thursdays with effect from April 28, 2022 to June 30, 2022.

Train No. 09006 Izzatnagar - Bandra Terminus (Weekly) Special Train will be short terminated at Borivali station instead of Bandra Terminus station. The train will reach Borivali station at 03.57 hrs. This will be effective from April 30, 2022 till June 18, 2022.

Meanwhile, the Mumbai division of Western Railways (WR) is planning to build a new railway bridge between Bandra and Khar railway stations to speed up the construction of the sixth railway line between Mumbai Central and Borivali. However, the construction work will start post-monsoon. For this, the existing one will be demolished.
