Police find bodies of two out of three who drowned in boat accident near Marve Beach

On Wednesday, seven people had gone for fishing in a boat at 1:00 am near Marve beach. During which, their boat capsized and sunk. Four out of the seven managed to survive whereas three drowned, and their bodies were missing. However, officials on Thursday states that they were able to find the bodies of two people, whereas one still remains missing.

The investigation was called off on Wednesday due to the tides and hence they could only find two missing individuals. A police official stated that during late hours on Wednesday, the two bodies had been washed off near a Versova creek shore. Their bodies have been sent for post-mortem to Cooper Hospital.

The authorities further said that the bodies have not yet been identified. In the meantime, a case has been filed against the boat owner and he has been charged for flouting lockdown rules, as well as for putting the lives of the seven people in danger by sending them in his boat without life jackets.
