Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, according to reports is expected to conduct an online meeting with the COVID task force on Monday at 8.30 pm. If reports are to be believed, in this meeting, discussions around the relief of certain covid-19 restrictions are to be conducted.

On Sunday, the Chief Minister proclaimed that those fully vaccinated with a 14-days gap after receiving the second dose can travel by the local trains in the city from August 15 onwards.

He had also mentioned that the administration was looking to ease certain restrictions in the days ahead. 

According to reports, he also elucidated that a resolution to ease curbs on malls, restaurants, hotels and religious places will be undertaken on Monday when the said state covid-19 taskforce meeting will be conducted.

In other developments, Ajit Pawar the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra too declared relief of curbs in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad from August 9. However, he also cautioned towards the reimposition of restrictions if the positivity rates breach the 7% mark.

So far, based on reports the state government has curtailed covid-19 curbs in 14 districts.

During his address on Sunday, whilst briefing people about the state’s readiness for the third wave, he encouraged all to follow covid-19 preventive behaviour and alerted people towards to reimposition of restrictions if cases begin to rise.
