Mumbai Metro One, which operates on the Versova-Ghatkopar corridor, has decided to increase the operating hours of the services from today, March 8.

This development comes days after the Maharashtra government eased restrictions imposed for the control of COVID-19. The government has allowed all sort of activities in List A municipalities that include Mumbai.

According to a statement released by the officials, Mumbai Metro One services will be available at 6.30 am from Versova and Ghatkopar and the last service from Ghatkopar will be at 11.25 pm.

Additionally, Mumbai Metro One will be running 284 trips with peak hour service frequency of 4.5 minutes and 8-11 minutes during off-peak hours.

Meanwhile, in a much-awaited news for Mumbaikars, metro 2A and 7 lines will soon be thrown open for all commuters in Mumbai. This development comes after 8 years of the commencement of Metro line 1.

For those unversed, the metro lines are colour segregated one. It means each metro line is associated with a colour. Blue indicates metro line 1 (Ghatkopar to Versova), Red is meant for metro line 7 (Andheri East to Dahisar East) and Yellow shows the route of metro 2A (Dahisar West to DN Nagar).

Besides, in another reliving news for Mumbaikars, now it will possible for commuters to travel by all public transports such as Local trains, BEST buses and metro with single travel card.
