Mumbai - Retail milk sellers in the city are facing the brunt of the demonetisation drive. Mahanand, Gokul and Amul Dairies are not accepting the old notes that milk shop owners are receiving from the consumers. Mumbai Milk Producers' Association Secretary, Jagdish Kattimani said," Due to shortage of cash, dealers will not be able to buy milk. Henceforth, there will be shortage of milk in the city." Dairy owners must accept Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes, insists the association. State Dairy Development Minister, Mahadev Jankar said," I myself have asked Mahanand and Aarey and the cooperative dairies to accept old notes."
