Ajinkya Rahane likely to be included for England tour after being spotted practicing in Mumbai

Some players will reach England earlier than other players in order to get adapted to the conditions by playing warm-up matches in England. Rahane has no idea about what will happen after the Afghanistan Test but he said that he was definitely having a word with the selectors.

Mumbaikar and Indian Test vice-captain, Ajinkya Rahane did not get a place in the squad for India’s tour of England but he isn’t the one to give up easily. After the stand-alone Test Match against Afghanistan, Team India will tour England which consists of three ODIs, five Tests, three T20s. Despite not being part of the selected squad for the tour, Rahane has a never-dying spirit and is practising at the Bandra-Kurla Complex ground for the Test series against England. 

Mumbai is the place where I began my career. Mumbai is the place where all my challenges have begun. I have spoken to the selection committee about my inclusion and they have asked me to stay prepared for the England tour.”

While watching Rahane's bad form, the selectors are not positive about placing him in the ODI and T20 squad. He has not been selected for the Twenty20 and ODI series against England, despite having a brilliant performance in the IPL. So, there has been a question mark about his inclusion in the ICC Cricket World Cup next year.
