A Tribute to the Mastermind: Artist creates MS Dhoni portrait using chess pieces

Indian artist Abaasaheb Shelke created an MS Dhoni caricature using chess pieces. The portrait is 30 feet long and 20 feet wide and is open for public at Korum Mall, Thane

Indian cricket legend Mahendra Singh Dhoni celebrated his 38th birthday on July 7, 2019. In order to offer his homage to the former Indian cricket team captain, Mumbai artist Abaasaheb Shelke decided to create an MS Dhoni caricature using chess pieces at Korum Mall, Thane. Around 30 artists created the portrait using more than 1.41 lakh chess pieces.
