On May 15, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced that India A will tour West Indies and play five One-Day matches along with three Four-Dayers, July 11 onwards. On the other hand, Mumbai batsman Prithvi Shaw has been included in the squad for the One-Day matches and the third Four-Dayer.
The Board also announced that Wriddhiman Saha, who last played a first-class match at Cape Town in January 2018, would be the wicketkeeper for three four-day matches.Andhra's Srikar Bharat is also part of the squad for the three four-day games, giving India A an additional wicketkeeping option.

Meanwhile, India A will be led by Shreyas Iyer in the four-day matches which will be played from July 24 to August 9. Alongside, Iyer is also part of the squad for the five One-Day matches which will be led by Manish Pandey.
