The U-19 Cricket World Cup is set to begin from January 17, 2020, and with the tournament just a month away, the Board of Cricket for Control in India (BCCI) has announced the 15-member squad for the tournament.

The U-19 cricket tournament's final will be played at Potchefstroom on February 9. India will be led by Priyam Garg and India will be in Group-A, along with Japan, Sri Lanka and New Zealand.

Mumbai's Yashasvi Jaiswal, who had earlier this year, become the youngest batsman to hit a List-A double hundred, has been named in India's 15-man squad for the U-19 World Cup, starting January 17 in South Africa.

While Uttar Pradesh batsman Garg will lead the 15-member squad, Dhruv Chand Jurel has been named as the vice-captain. Jurel will also handle the wicketkeeping duties. Along Jurel, Kumal Kushagra has also been named as wicketkeeper in the squad.

Meanwhile, 16 teams will be looking to find themselves bagging the prestigious trophy and the 16 teams have been drawn in groups of 4.

Mumbai's Yashasvi Jaiswal along with Divyansh Saxena, Uttarakhand's Shashwat Rawat and Hyderabad's Tilak Varma are among the prominent batsmen in the India squad.
