The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) CEO Rahul Johri has recently written to the newly formed Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) to provide a declaration in regard to the undertaking of conflict of interest. The BCCI CEO has written the letter in order to begin the hiring process for the coach of the Indian Cricket team.

Mail has been sent to all three of them to submit their declaration as soon as possible because the last date of applying for the post of the head coach is now over and we have to appoint someone as the coach, that's why the mail has been sent. We expect that they will submit it soon," a BCCI source told ANI.

According to an ANI report, it had learned on Wednesday that the appointment procedure for the new Indian Cricket team coach may get delayed as the recently formed CAC had not provided the undertaking of conflict of interest.

The source had further added that at present, the newly formed CAC had not given any undertaking of conflict of interest and as long as it is not submitted, they cannot begin the hiring process. However, he stated that they were expecting the undertaking soon. The source added that all of them were former cricketers and they were busy doing something or the other.

The last date for filing an application for the position of head coach was July 30. In the meantime, the new CAC was to be monitored by the COA and then the appointment of the new head coach of the Indian team would have been done.
