Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday denied the speculations of Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli slipped disc injuries but confirmed about his absence from Surrey county cricket club in England. BCCI has revealed that Virat is not suffering from a slipped disc injury but only a neck injury.

After playing the Indian Premier League, Virat was supposed to join the Surrey County Club but due to the neck injury Virat would be unable to do the same. However, it is speculated that he will play two four-day matches but will not participate in the 50-over Royal London Cup.

According to the sources, Virat, who was suffering from back pain, visited a hospital in Khar on Wednesday. The doctor told that there was a possibility of slipped disc injury. Due to the possibility of injury, the doctors have advised him not to play for some time.

However, BCCI confirmed the news on Thursday that Virat Kohli does not have a slip disc disorder, but just a neck injury. So, the cricket tour of Virat County will be reduced. Virat will only play for two matches. However, a BCCI official has said that he can not play in five matches of the Royal London Trophy.
