After facing a loss against Bangladesh in the first match of T20 series, India managed to bounce back as skipper Rohit Sharma notched up an 85-run knock and led his side to a comfortable win. Owing to the stand-in captain's heroics, the hosts have earned a draw and pushed the three-match series to the decider in Nagpur on Sunday.

The Men in Blue chased down the 154-run target in mere 15.4 overs with eight wickets in hand. With this emphatic win, the Indian team also managed to enter into the record books.

India: The Chase Master

This being India's 41st victory while chasing in T20Is, the Men in Blue have surpassed Australia’s record of 40 victories while chasing in the shortest format of the game. And the Indian side nort only beat the Aussies in the number of wins, but they also have a better win percentage when it comes to chasing.

So far, Team India have chased 61 times in T20Is, and have managed to secure victory on 41 occasions. Australia, on the other hand, has successfully ended up being the winning side in 40 matches out of 69 attempts.

The Hitman Show

Stand-in captain and Mumbai cricketer Rohit Sharma was the most impressive performer for India and was rightly adjudged Player of the Match for his 85 off just 43 balls. His fifth century would have come along had he not miscued a shot which could have been his seventh six of the innings.

Playing in his 100th T20I, Sharma made it a night to remember with a sizzling batting display where he smashed six humongous sixes

This being said, the two sides will now lock horns on Sunday to assert dominance as the better team in the series-deciding third T20I at Nagpur.
