The most popular cash-rich cricket tournament, Indian Premier League (IPL) will make a comeback for its 2019 season March 23 onwards. On February 19, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) declared the schedule for the first 17 matches of IPL 2019.

The cricket board has received clearance for 17 matches and under which, eight centers will host two matches and Delhi to get three matches in the first segment. Defending champions, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will face Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the opener. Meanwhile, all teams will play a minimum of four matches with Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore playing five matches.

Accordingly, every team will play a minimum of two home and two away matches whereas DC will play three home matches and RCB will play three away matches. In the meantime, Mumbai Indians have their maiden match on March 24 against the Delhi Capitals. After which, the team will clash with RCB on March 28, Kings XI Punjab on March 30, and their age-old rivals CSK on April 3.
