In light of a considerable portion of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 being held in Maharashtra, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Maharashtra government, have undertaken the decision to permit 25 per cent crowd capacity for the league’s first phase in the state from March 26 and April 15, reports cited.

On Wednesday, March 2, state Minister of Tourism and Environment, Aaditya Thackeray and Maharashtra guardian minister Eknath Shinde conducted a meeting with BCCI’s acting CEO Hemang Amin as well as key officials of the Mumbai Cricket Association. The meeting was undertaken to discuss an arrangement for the tournament, accounts mentioned.

According to narratives, the BCCI has identified five practice venues in Mumbai for the IPL’s league stage. These include BKC’s MCA Ground, Cricket Club of India’s Brabourne Stadium, DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai’s Reliance Corporate Park and Thane’s MCA ground.

Based on accounts, all IPL participants will undergo a pre-travel RT-PCR test 48 hours prior to travelling to Mumbai. During quarantine, they will undergo RT-PCR testing three times, first on Day 1, second on Day 3 and the final one on Day 5.

If they are on a three-day quarantine, they will get tested daily. If all their tests are negative they will be allowed to exit quarantine and begin team activities.
