Owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Indian Premier League (IPL) has been indefinitely postponed this year. Had the coronavirus outbreak not hit India, the fans would have been watching the cash-rich T20 tournament right now. However, despite not being able to appear on the field, the four-time IPL champions, Mumbai Indians took Twitter to treat its fans with memories.

On May 7, 2017, Mumbai Indians played against the then Delhi Daredevils in the latter team's home ground and what followed was history. The MI Paltan registered their highest victory by runs, i.e. 146 runs.

Batting first, Mumbai Indians posted a mammoth 212-run target with the Caribbean duo of Lendl Simmons and Kieron Pollard scoring 66 and 63 respectively in their usual fiery style. After which, Mumbai Indians' spin attack comprising of Harbhajan Singh and Karn Sharma scalped six wickets, knocking the Daredevils off for a paltry score of 66.

The match began with a 79-run partnership between Simmons and Parthiv Patel which gave Mumbai Indians the start they needed to put a formidable total on-board. The partnership, however, was broken as Patel was sent back to the pavilion by Amit Mishra. Just after Patel departed, Simmons scored his 10th IPL fifty.

Just after his fifty, Simmons lost his wicket to Corey Anderson and Mumbai Indians were left at 116-2. But the fireworks continued as Pollard along with Hardik Pandya helped the Indians breach the 200-run mark.

Later in the match, the Daredevils succumbed to the pressure while chasing the mammoth target. However, encashing on their batsmen's contributions, the Mumbai Indians' bowlers went aggressive against the Delhi batsmen and helped the franchise register their highest victory by runs.
