Mumbai- This New Year, the FDA plans to train a hawk's eye on hotels, restaurants and 5-star hotels in the city to keep a tab on adulterated sweets and foods.
The FDA is carrying out a special campaign from 20 December to 1 January 2017 under which the food and drug administration authorities will check on hotels and restaurants' food items for quality and will send the samples for testing. Along with this, they will send the samples of alcohol as well. FDA officials will present the report in the first week of January and if any person is found guilty, a punishment is in store. This time round, there's no need to say 'Consumer Beware'. The ball is in the suppliers' court.
