In the last few months, many traffic police constables are falling prey to commuter’s arrogance, who either involve themselves in a physical or a verbal spat. Recently, Tanaji Patil, a police constable from Kopar Khairane was slapped by Danish Ibrahim Sheikh (21) following which police has arrested the accused.

The incident took place on Monday night near Kopar Khairane’s Blue Diamond circle where Danish came with his girlfriend on his bike and started a conversation on streets, despite the lane being marked one-way. His act caused a traffic and constable Tanaji Patil came to the rescue. He asked Sheikh to make a way for traffic but he did not listen and act upon.
Finally, constable Patil himself moved his bike which enraged Shiekh and they started arguing, at the end of which Sheikh slapped constable Patil.
One of the pedestrians captured the whole incident in a mobile and on the basis of which, the complaint was filed under section 353,332 and 504 of IPC.
