Mumbai Excise Department raided a liquor warehouse on Link road in Goregaon West and seized bogus liquor of big brands like scotch and bottle of imported brands. Two accused have been arrested in this operation last night.
According to the information, the Excise Department had received secret information that the empty bottles were refilled by the bogus liquor of cheap quality in the branded bottles of the imported liquor, which were sold at high prices in abroad, by preparing fake liquor in Mumbai and surrounding areas in a warehouse located at Goregaon West Link Road, for the last few months it was supplied in Big hotels, pubs, beer bars and parties.
Andheri Excise Division, senior police inspector Vaibhav Vaidya said that under the guidance of Police Officer V Radha, Director Sunil Chavan and Superintendent Santosh Chakra, their team raided the warehouse on Thursday night and seized the fake bottle of bogus liquor worth Rs. 5 lakhs and arrested 2 accused with bottles of fake liquor.
