Rajesh Sehgal, a resident of Dahisar and a consultant in RMCPL has been arrested by Marine Lines police on Monday for leaking the confidential data to the company’s rivals.

The 55-year old employee of the Mumbai based chemical manufacturing company was allotted ₹91 lakhs in the period of 2014-18 for business development purposes in Uttar Pradesh. After the company’s sales reduced by ₹65 crores, an investigation was set up and it also came into the limelight that Sehgal had given away the company’s confidential data to its rival companies.

RMCPL which is located at Churchgate, manufactures a range of speciality chemicals, equipment for specialised applications, water and oil refining. It had alleged in the complaint that they have suffered losses while working with the UP based company, Sehgal worked for other companies which he had floated. 

The arrest was made on Monday and Sehgal is currently in the custody at Marine Lines.
