A police officer beat up a farmer who had come from Kannad village of Aurangabad district at Mantralaya. Ramesh Bhusare, the farmer, had come to Mantralaya to meet CM Devendra Fadnavis and the state agriculture minister Pandurang Fundkar to recover the loss caused by last year’s hailstorm.

However, he did not get any response and he staged a protest outside CM’s office on the sixth floor of the Mantralaya. Police then took Bhosare in custody and started bashing him. Whereas, state agriculture minister Pandurang Fundkar refuted the claims and said that no one beat the farmer.

Fundkar added that he had met Bhosare a few days back for a bank loan and he also assured Bhosare that he will provide him with a subsidy.
