Former Actress Mamta Kulkarni issued notice in INR 2000 Cr drug racket

Actress Mamta Kulkarni has been involved in a drug racket worth INR 2000 Cr. Thane police have submitted a notice and a period of 30 days has been offered to make an appearance in front of the court.

The actress is assumed to be abroad and if she doesn’t make an appearance in the court, her property could be seized.

Last year, an international drug racket had come into light worth INR 2000 Cr with Mamta Kulkarni and her husband, Vicky Goswami, allegedly involved in the racket.Thane police had raided Avon Lifesciences in Solapur last year and seized around 18.5 tonne of ephedrine worth INR 2000 Cr.

 According to police, ephedrine was being diverted from Avon Lifesciences to a Kenya-based drug cartel headed by Mamta's husband Goswami where it was used to make party-drug Methamphetamine. 

Both of them are believed to be in Kenya according to Thane police.
