In an operation conducted by the Narcotics Control Board (NCB), 75 kg of ganja and 4800 bottles of codeine have been seized. An inter-state gang is involved in this case and six people have been arrested in this case. The value of the seized drugs is INR 2 crore.
The NCB got information about smuggling of codeine bottles in Ulhasnagar area. In the action taken on the basis of that information, 4,800 codeine bottles were seized. Vinod P was arrested in this case. Accused's accomplices Manish P, Akash P, Raj K, Mohnish S and Sunny J were detained from Bhiwandi area.
75 kg of ganja was found in his vehicle. Apart from this, the cash collected from the sale of narcotics was also seized. A case has been registered under the Narcotics Control Act.
