
A cab driver was killed on Thursday morning after a BEST bus allegedly rammed into a parked car while he was cleaning the vehicle near Pushpa Park in Malad East. The incident occurred around 6.50 am.
According to officials, the victim was identified as 55-year-old Ashok Yadav. The impact proved fatal for the driver, who died at the scene.
The bus, operating on Route 440 and attached to Wadala Depot, was reportedly returning to the depot when the accident took place. The vehicle was being operated by Mateshwari Urban Transport Solutions Private Limited (MUTSPL) on behalf of BEST.
Local residents gathered at the spot following the accident, while authorities initiated inquiries into the circumstances that led to the collision. Further details regarding the victim's identity and possible action against the bus driver were awaited at the time of reporting.
