Himanshu Roy, the additional director general of Maharashtra and former head of the anti-terrorism squad commits suicide. As per reports, Roy shot himself today at his residence. The reason for the suicide is not known, but it is suspected that it could be due to his illness. He was suffering from blood cancer for a long time.

Roy was an IPS officer who joined Maharashtra Police in 1988 and was actively involved in solving the IPL spot-fixing case in 2013. He also played a significant role in solving cases involving Dawood's brother Iqbal Kaskar, Laila Khan Double Murder Case, and many others.
