Mumbai’s Special NDPS Court rejected the bail applications of Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan, as well as, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha.

The eyes of many were on the bail application of Khan along with seven others as the hearing was slated to be held today, October 20. The court began the hearing at 2.45 pm.

Against the backdrop, there were several reports of the NCB submitting Khan’s WhatsApp drug chats with an upcoming actress in the Hindi film industry in the court. The actor’s son has been in the Arthur Road jail since October 8. Khan, alongside his friend, Arbaaz Merchant and others were nabbed by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on October 3.

Some reports claim that Amit Desai, his lawyer interacted with reporters outside the court wherein he said that they will decide whether to move to the Bombay High Court once they receive the order. Adding that they haven’t been apprised about the grounds on which their bail plea was rejected.

According to accounts, Khan in his bail application stated that not only was he “innocent” but also “falsely implicated in the present crime”. In addition to this, he is believed to have also assured of not tampering or absconding with the investigation.

Khan’s lawyers argued that drugs weren’t found on their client when the officers from the NCB raided a rave party on the cruise ship.
