A tragic accident occurred in CBD Sector 8, where a 12-year-old boy, on his way to school on a bicycle, was fatally hit by a municipal dumper in a narrow lane. The dumper driver, despite limited space between the vehicle and a wall, recklessly drove forward, causing the fatal collision. He fled the scene immediately after the accident.
The victim, Shivam Bhat, a Class VI student at People's Education Society's English Medium School, had visited his father’s office after school and was returning home around 11 am when the incident took place. Due to the narrow alley, he was unable to move aside, leading to the fatal crash.

Late at night, a case was finally registered against the driver, and police have launched a search operation.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Mayur Bhujbal confirmed that the parents have been informed, and efforts are underway to locate the absconding driver.
