Vakola Police arrested a man for allegedly troubling two minor college students while threatening to make their photographs viral. The accused, Janam Porwal (20), was arrested from Gujarat connecting with the minor girls on Instagram. 

After connecting through photo sharing platform Instagram, the accused made an attempt to communicate with the minors. However, the girls refused to indulge in any conversation with the accused Janam Porwal. As this happened, Janam downloaded their photographs from their Instagram profile. 

Moreover, the accused edited the photos making them obscene and uploaded it on the platform. When the minors encountered their edited and obscene photos, they tried to contact the accused. After this, Porwal blackmailed the minor saying that he will make the photos viral while recording them in conversation on video chat.

Tired of the daily blackmail, the girls informed their parents regarding the same. After which, the family members of the minors registered a complaint against the accused. The police caught the accused after three months from Gujarat via ‘Spoofing Technique’.
