Dharavi police raided 4 showrooms at Dharavi's Sion Bandra Link Road on the account of selling leather goods by using the name of a copyright company. In this raid, the police seized leather belts and wallets worth Rs 4 lakh 91 thousand that borne the logo of American Levi Strauss Company. Further, the police arrested 4 people namely Shahrukh Tanjamul Ansari, Nafiz Ibrahim Sheikh, Shahbaz Mohammad Latif Qureshi in this case.

The authorised copyright owner of the Levi Strauss Company received the information on the massive sale of leather belts and wallets by imprinting the Levi Strauss Company's logo in the leather market in Dharavi. Following which, the copyright owner of the company Naresh Mhetre lodged a complaint in this regard. Further, the Deputy Inspector General of Police Anil Gaikwad and his team raided the show room of National Goods, Armaan Leather Arts, Mass Leather Shop, Shakra Leather Arts and seized leather belts and wallets worth 4 lakh 91 thousand rupees with the official logo of the company. The police are further investigating the case.
