12 women and 10 men arrested from a rave party in Nashik

As per reports, Nashik Police learned about the party in the morning on Sunday, June 27, 2021. Among the 22 arrested is a bigg boss contestant, 2 foreign nationals and members who have link with the entertainment industry in Mumbai.

Nashik Police, on Sunday, June 27, 2021, arrested 22 people and seized drugs from a rave party that was being held at two bungalows - Sky Taj Villa and Sky Lagoon Villa - in Nashik's Lgatpuri area. Officials received a tip about the rave party and upon reaching the location, they learned that a birthday party was organised for Piyush Sethia, a resident of Mumbai. 

In a conversation with PTI, officials said that the tip was received by Nashik Rural Superintendent of Police Sachin Patil. Among the 22 arrested are 12 women and 10 men, some of who have a connection with the entertainment industry from Mumbai. One among them is also a contestant from Bigg Boss. Four women were also said to be associated with the South Indian film industry.

Sharing more information, Patil said, that the party was being held in two bungalows 120km away from Mumbai, and the arrested members had met for a birthday party. Medical tests are being conducted to understand more. 

Besides this, items like a camera, tripod hookah, two other objects and drugs have been seized from the party and the officers have also arrested the peddler who supplied the drugs. A detailed investigation will be conducted to learn more about the party organisers as well.

Officials also informed that the arrested people reached the bungalows in high-end cars. Among them is also a woman of Iranian descent and a Nigerian national, who was arrested by another team in Mumbai. 

Police have registered a cause under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
