The police-constable, buckle number 2985 who was responsible for carrying blood samples in Salman Khan’s infamous Bandra hit & run case, is missing. The same thing has happened in the Blackbuck poaching case wherein the main culprit of seven accused — who was once a close aide of Salman Khan — accused Dinesh Gawre went missing after being granted a bail in the same case.

It is believed that while shooting, Dinesh Gawre was the one who gave Salman Khan the gun to shoot the Blackbuck. One week after the incident, i.e. on October 8, 1998, Salman sent Gawre back to Mumbai with the gun, said police during their investigation. Gawre is still missing who used to reside at Bandra’s Behrampada.

When Mumbai Live went to Behrampada, residents Mohammed Jamshed (45) and Shakir Sheikh (47) who grew up in the same area said that they have never seen a man named Gawre.

In 1998, during the film shoot of Hum Saath Saath Hain, actors Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Neelam Kothari, Tabu, Sonali Bendre who were in the main lead, went to Rajasthan’s Kankani jungle for poaching of a Blackbuck, which is categorised under the endangered species list. Likewise, on October 1, 1998, it is being said that Salman Khan hunt two Blackbucks and then tried running away but was

caught by the locals who heard the gunshot.

The forest officer and former investigating officer Lalit Kumar Boda said that he himself came to Mumbai in 1999 and carried out search operations along with Nirmal Nagar police station but there was no trace of him.
