Indrani Mukerjea's condition is now stable, says hospital

This is the second time in two months that Mukerjea has been admitted to hospital. This time she was admitted after she complained about chest pain.

Indrani Mukerjea, an accused in Sheena Bora murder case, was admitted to state-run JJ Hospital around 11:30 pm on Friday for chest pain. Her condition is now stable, confirmed the hospital. Sharing more information, Dr Sanjay Surase, medical superintendent, JJ told Times of India, "Mukerjea was admitted to the critical care unit at 11.30 pm for chest pain evaluation. Clinical evaluation and investigations are going on. She is stable.”

This is the second time that Mukerjea has been admitted in the span of two months.

Last time, in April, she was rushed to JJ Hospital from Byculla Jail suspecting overdose of medicines. Following to this, she has told the court that she is worried for her life and someone is trying to poison her.

For the last three years, former media executive Indrani Mukerjea serving in jail for the murder of her daughter Sheena Bora (24) whom she allegedly killed in April 2012. The CBI, who took over the case in November 2015, claimed that the real reason for Bora’s killing was a financial dispute.
