An incident occurred in Nilegaon in Nalasopara west near Mumbai, where a case of theft has been reported. Thieves broke into the house and stole lakhs of rupees and jewellery. The police have registered a case and are probing in the matter.
According to the information received, Kasturibai Sundarraj Anukar (59) who lives in Jaimala Building of Nilegaon lives with his family. On the day of the incident, Kasturi was out. By taking advantage of the situation the thieves broke the lock and entered the house and escaped with the jewelery and cash kept in the cupboard. When Kasturi came back home, the lock was broken. Everything in the house was scattered, the jewellery and money were missing from the cupboard.
Kasturi informed the police station about the incident. The police have registered a case against unknown thieves under IPC section 454, 457 and 380. According to Assistant Police Inspector Pratap Darade, who investigated the matter, the thieves steal cash worth Rs 4,48,500 lakh from Kasturi's house.
