Diwali special magazines record higher sales

Mumbai – The history of the ‘Diwali Edition’ of periodicals in Maharashtra is 108 years old. Through these Diwali editions, readers get a chance to read quality content on different topics from a number of fields including sports, cinema, literature, culture, arts, science etc. This year too, many Diwali editions have hit the market. In comparison to last year’s average sale of these Diwali editions, an increase of about 30-50 per cent has been registered this year. Editors and authors of many Diwali editions have launched ‘E-Diwali’ editions. One can read these editions free of cost on the internet. Aniket Tendulkar, manager of Dadar's Ideal Book Depot says, “The Diwali Editions titled ‘Awaz’, ‘Maher’, ‘Shatayushi’, ‘Gruhsanket’, ‘Grahankit’ are in demand. Online editions have not affected the sale of editions available on stands.”
