Web series on ‘B grade’ movies to be released on 'this' OTT platform

There have been a lot of accusations that there is obscenity and nudity in Bollywood movies. However, in the 80s and 90s, there was a parallel film industry that was operating in Bollywood that made such films. Many films were made at that time with double meaning jokes, bold scenes and horror scenes which are referred as 'B grade cinema'.

These mainly included horror and adult films which are also known as 'below the belt' in today's parlance. Even superstars from Dharmendra to Rajesh Khanna could not resist the temptation to work in such a film. A documentary on this 'B grade film' world will soon be released on the OTT platform Prime Video.

A documentary called 'Cinema Marte Dum Tak' will soon be released on the OTT platform Prime Video. In this 6-part series, many things about the 'B grade film' world of that time will be highlighted. Amazon Prime Video’s new documentary series 'Cinema Marte Dum Tak' by Vice Studios and creator Vasan Bala, will take audiences back in time, and will explore the fringe B-grade film industry of the 1990s. This series will be seen on Prime Video from January 20.
