Centralised FYJC Online Admissions for six municipal corporation areas to begin on August 22

The admission process for FYJC (Standard 11) courses in Maharashtra are expected to begin online from Saturday, August 14, 2021. Information regarding the same was shared by State School Education Minister, Varsha Gaikwad, on Friday, August 13, 2021. 

Officials have confirmed that the same will be held across six municipal areas in the state. In addition to these, the admission process will also be conducted across rural areas as well. Information shared on the official website states, "The online admission process for std XI, in the defined five online admission areas Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) in Mumbai, Thane, Raigad districts, Pune and Pimpari-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation areas alongwith Nagpur, Amravati, and Nashik Municipal Corporations, is applicable to all recognized Junior Colleges affiliated to the Maharashtra State Board and it is mandatory for all to participate in the online admission process, as all admissions will be done through online process only."

Minister Gaikwad took to Twitter and said, "Process for Centralised Online Admissions to #FYJC 2021-22 for the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, & areas within municipal corporation limits in Pune, Pimpri Chinchward, Nagpur, Amravati, Nashik."

Reports state that the admission will be conducted online in a centralised manner whereby an admission committee will be involved in the process and the same will be headed by the respective DyDE office at the district level. Officials have released a schedule and guidelines for the same which shares details about the online application, problem solving, admission confirmation process, rounds, etc. The schedule for the next phase  will be announced later, however, students have been asked to fill the first part of the admission form currently. This will begin from August 14 to 22, 2021. 

Candidates will be allowed to the second part of the form from August 17 to 22, 2021.

The first merit list is expected to release on August 27, 2021, and students mentioned in the list will have to decide their preferred college between August 27 and 30, 2021. In case a student does not prefer any college from the list, they can check further availability on the website, on August 30, 2021. The second merit list will be announced a few days later.
