The Directorate of Technical Education has started the online registration process for the Polytechnic course for the academic year 2025-26 from May 20 and the registration process is receiving a good response from the students. So far, 96,300 students across the state have registered online for polytechnic courses, and the Directorate of Technical Education said that the one lakh registration mark will soon be crossed.
Students will be able to apply online from May 20 to June 16. During this period, students will be able to upload scanned copies of documents for verification and confirmation of their applications. Verification of documents can be done both online and in person. Applications that are finalised after this will be considered for the institutional level round.
The provisional merit list will be announced on the website on June 18. After that, if students have any complaints regarding the information shown in the provisional merit list, they will be able to file a complaint between May 19 and 21.
After that, the final merit list will be published on June 23. However, in the application registration conducted from May 16, as many as 96,300 students have registered online till June 9. About three thousand students are registering every day. Therefore, the one lakh registration mark will be crossed in the next one to two days, said Dr. Vinod Mohitkar, Director, Directorate of Technical Education.
Along with filling the admission application form, the Directorate of Technical Education has provided helpline numbers 7669100257 / 18003132164 to resolve any complaints students may have regarding the difficulties they face in the admission process. This helpline will be open from 10 am to 6 pm.
Till now, there were three rounds of admission process for diploma courses. However, from the academic year 2025-26, there will be four rounds of admission for these courses. Also, candidates eligible for the second, third and fourth rounds will have the opportunity to change the option filled in the application.
Candidates who failed to fill alternative applications in previous rounds will be given the opportunity to fill alternative applications in the fourth round. Earlier, the admission process was completed after three rounds. Now, admission will be finalised after the fourth round, and admission to courses will be final after the second round.
