The school education department of the state has now made an important change in the decision not to conduct the examination for the students up to class VIII. Accordingly, from next year, the annual examination of 50 marks will be conducted for the students of class V and 60 marks for students of class VIII. Students were not studying as no exams were conducted till class VIII. The Education Minister has clarified that this new rule has been made to increase their quality.

Meanwhile, the policy of admitting students who fail in the examination to the next grade will continue. The stand of the government is that the teachers should pay more attention to the failing students and improve their quality by conducting re-exams.

Annual examination will be held in the month of April every year. Language, Mathematics, Local Studies subjects will be examined, failed students will be re-examined in the second week of June. Up to class 5, students will be admitted to age-appropriate classes. So, it will be necessary to pass the 5th exam for admission to 6th to 8th class. This new decision will be implemented from the coming academic year.

In order not to burden the children at a young age, the policy of passing the exam was implemented. However, now the government has decided to conduct the exam again as the students are lagging behind in quality. In all this, the responsibility of teachers and parents is increasing.
