In some schools, students are given a sheet called 'enrichment sheets' to solve at home which is a re-branded version to homework. According to the President and Founder of Early Childhood Association India  Dr. Swati Popat Vats

When we talk about enrichment sheets, it should be an enriching experience for the child and should not be a burden or stress for the kids. I fail to understand how can we call it 'enriching' as it is the same for every kid in the classroom. Enrichment should be based on something that is immersive, volatile, adds value to the kid's learning process, more fun and interactive and makes the entire cognitive process of the academic that the child does more enriched. Join the dots between academic learning and the fun element to it. It's all about interconnectedness. So when you choose enrichment programmes they have to be very well thought of along with being developmental and age-appropriate.

Talking about the parent's role in the same she further added by saying,

You cannot choose enrichment programmes just because parents ask for it. They need to be relatively something that a child can connect to. Children's involvement more in art, science, sports etc are more enriching and should be perfectly co-existed with the curriculum. The parents need to be counselled about the same.
