Maharashtra School Education Minister Dadaji Bhuse suggested that the study and teaching of Marathi language should be made compulsory in schools of all boards. Additionally, singing the state anthem 'Jai Jai Maharashtra Maza' should also be made compulsory.
A consultation meeting of coordinators, principals, and education department officials from all state education boards was held at the ministry.
School Education Minister Bhuse stated that Marathi should be included in the 10th grade marksheets of students from schools affiliated with the ICSE, CBSE, Cambridge boards and other international boards. Correspondence will be initiated with the various boards to this effect. He also stated that, like the state board, a curriculum related to the life and works of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj should be included in ICSE board textbooks.
International boards should also consider teaching Maharashtra's history in the humanities. Students with disabilities and learning disabilities should also be included in inclusive education. CCTV cameras should be installed in all schools. Admissions to schools under other boards under the Right to Education Act and various initiatives implemented by the School Education Department should be strictly and effectively implemented in other board schools as well. The spirit of nation first should be instilled in students. The "One Tree in the Name of Mother" initiative should also be effectively implemented. Other board schools with good facilities should also guide Marathi-medium schools, Minister Dadaji Bhuse directed on this occasion.
Coordinators and principals from various boards provided information about various activities, teaching-learning experiments, and evaluation methods conducted in their schools.
