The University of Mumbai and Assessment department decided to conduct the examination of law students through the colleges from next year and the university will only set the question paper.

However, some of the students have expressed their dissatisfaction over this decision taken by the university. Student law council has demanded that the examination pertaining from semester four to one shall be conducted by the university and not college.

Vice Chancellor of Mumbai University had announced this to avoid any kind of disruption regarding the results of the examination. Also, the examination of session 2018-2019 for semester five to eight of Bachelor in Legal Science (BLS) and semester one to four of Bachelor in Law (LLB) will be conducted by the university. However, the examination for the rest semester will be taken by the University.

Student Law Council President Sachin Pawar had written a letter to the Vice Chancellor for this matter and has asked him to re-think his decision.
