For the academic year 2023-24 in 127 eligible schools in Thane Municipal area, online admission process under 25% Right To Education (RTE) has begun. This admission process is being done for 2,892 seats in the municipal sector.
The facility of the application registration of children under RTE 25 percent online admission has been made available by the Government of Maharashtra on the website https://student.maharashtra.gov.in/ and this will be available until 17 March 2023, 12:00 midnight. Parents have to apply online for Nursery, Junior KG, as well as Class 1 on this portal. The age limit has been decided as minimum six years completed for first year students, five years completed for senior KG and four years completed for junior KG.

All the information regarding the list of help centres for parents, guide book regarding application registration in online process, necessary documents etc. has been made available on the said website of the government. The Thane Municipal Commissioner (TMC) Abhijit Bangar has appealed to parents to take advantage of the said facility.
All documents required for RTE 25 percent online admission should be of before the last date of online admission application. Also, parents should note that a child's Aadhaar card, residence proof and date of birth proof are required for RTE admission.
