With the outbreak of the coronavirus, students and parents all across the country are demanding the cancellations of exams. The student body, National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), has demanded the cancellation of ICAI CA and ICSI CS exams 2020 which are scheduled from July-end to mid-August.

This demand has been made by the student body as the death toll of people succumbing to coronavirus has increased across the country. In this regard, the CS Exam would be conducted from August 18 to 28, 2020 now. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and Institute of Company Secretaries of India had released their schedules for examinations in July and August expecting the situation of the outbreak to improve. However, with the number of cases still increasing, many students of ICAI and ICSI have taken to Twitter to express their thoughts and demanded the examination bodies to postpone or cancel the exams.

Some of the students are also facing the issue of lack of resources as many of them have travelled back to their home towns following the outbreak. Earlier, the ICSI had authorized an advisory asking the students to not post memes on social media as it could demotivate the students who actually wish to appear for the exams. However, the students have ignored the warning as the netizens have posted an array of funny memes asking for the cancellation of the examinations. Some of the memes are listed below.

Earlier, parents had filed a petition to the Supreme Court asking to cancel the CBSE examinations 2020 in the wake of the rising number of coronavirus cases in the country. Many institutes and boards such as Delhi University and IIT’s have cancelled their examinations for this reason. State board in Chattisgarh have also called off their board exams. What remains to be seen is the decision to be undertaken by the SC in this regard.
