The trailer of Bhaskar Hazarika’s Aamis is out today and the film was recently screened at the recently held Jio MAMI 21st Mumbai Film Festival with Star. Audience enjoyed this much applauded, original dark love story from Assam is being presented by Anurag Kashyap. 

An intriguing tale of love, Aamis is set in modern-day Guwahati. The film stars debutants Lima Das and Arghadeep Barua, while Neetali Das, Sagar Saurabh, and Manash K Das comprise the supporting cast. Aamis has been produced by Poonam Deol and Shyam Bora, in association with Wishberry Films.

Expressing his excitement, writer-director Bhaskar Hazarika said, “If I had a penny for each time people asked me for the trailer of Aamis, I'd be a rich fellow by now! So after what feels like an eternity here it is finally. Hope everyone likes it and it motivates them to go watch Aamis when it releases.”

Anurag Kashyap echoed the sentiment, and further added, “I'm really excited to see how audiences will respond and react to Aamis. So, mark the date - Aamis releases on 22nd November in Assam and beyond!” This is the first time Kashyap is presenting an Assamese film."

Aamis has received two awards at the recently concluded Singapore South Asian International Film Festival, Best Director for Bhaskar Hazarika and Best Actress for Lima Das. The film will release in Assam and selected cities of India on November 22, 2019.

The release is being facilitated by MovieSaints Distribution Solutions across theatres in Assam and online for rest of India at moviesaints.com. The film will also be screened in different cities on request at both traditional and non-traditional venues.
