In recent developments, veteran Bollywood actress Saira Banu has been admitted to the ICU of Hinduja Hospital for the last three days after she suffered a minor heart attack.
According to Saira Banu's relative, the legendary actress is currently in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and is better than before. Saira Banu is 77. According to sources, the actress has been advised to stay in the hospital for another 3 to 4 days.
Earlier on July 7, the legendary actor Dilip Kumar had passed away. The family reportedly stated that Saira Banu has been in shock since. The actor, after suffering from prostate cancer for the longest time, succumbed to the illness at Mumbai’s Hinduja Hospital on July 7. Furthermore, the government of Maharashtra had reportedly approved his burial with state honours at Juhu Qabrastan.
Often referred to as the “Tragedy King” and the “The first Khan” of the Bollywood industry, Kumar starred in films such as Devdas and Madhumati. Moreover, he was often cited by colleagues such as Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan as the actor they most admire. He is survived by Saira Banu, his wife of over 50 years.
