Bhansali’s Padmavati shifts location, faces repercussion again in Kolhapur

Eminent filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali's ambitious project on rani Padmavati, unfortunately, seems to be jinxed. Ever since the beginning, the film has put Bhansali on the hate radar of many regional communities. After facing a repercussion in Rajasthan, the filmmakers have now shifted the location to Panhala, Kolhapur. But unfortunately, the team seems to face vandalism even there and the result of which is leading to film’s delay.

These concerns have certainly disturbed the leading lady of Padmavati, Deepika Padukone. Back in January, she shared her opinion on twitter asking the followers of history and the respective communities to support them for this project.

Besides Bhansali, the leading lady of Padmavati, Deepika Padukone is also facing concerns with the dates and schedule. If sources are to be believed she was supposedly in talks with some Hollywood studios for international projects, when she gave her nod for this film. And due to those prior commitments, Padukone has to travel for meeting and this is leading to her change in Padmavati's schedule. It seems like she is not keen on losing the plum Hollywood opportunities for a Hindi film.

The film is based on the life of Rani Padmini, a legendary queen and wife the ruler of Mewar, Rana Rawal Ratan Singh. The film also stars Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in lead roles. We wish the team has a calm and fruitful schedule here in Kolhapur.
