Indian Television’s ace producer and co-founder of the Shri Adhikari Brothers Network (SAB Group) Gautam Adhikari breathed his last today early morning due to a heart attack. The producer was 67 years old. Gautam is survived by his wife Ranjana and two children – a son and a daughter.

As per the reports, the funeral will start at 11:00 am from his residence of Shri Adhikari Villa in Vile Parle, Mumbai. Final rites will be performed at Wagji Bhai crematorium, Pawan Hans, Vile Parle.

Gautam Adhikari and his brother Markand Adhikari had started a company– Sri Adhikari Brothers, popularly known as SAB Group in the year 1985 as a small family owned partnership firm, which went on to become the first publicly listed television production company. It was listed on the BSE in 1995. Gautam had directed many shows like Hello Inspector, Silsila and Waqt Ki Raftar. Currently, 'Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' is one of the most popular TV shows on SAB TV.
