In light of the attacks on the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Pulwama on February 14, Federation of Western Indian Cine Employees (FWICE) has decided to appeal for a blanket ban on Pakistani artists. Along with this, the film association has also decided to ban Navjot Singh Sidhu for his allegedly objectionable comments.

In his letter, Dubey stated that the Pulwama attacks on the CRPF jawans were a "Black day for Indians" and so, as a protest towards the cowardly attacks, the five lakh FWICE workers have decided to boycott the Pakistani artists as well as Sidhu.

Along with this, they demanded that the cricketer-turned-politician must never be allowed to set foot on the Film City lands. The letter also consisted of a request to Sony Entertainment to ban Sidhu from 'The Kapil Sharma Show'.

Dubey even warned that none of the FWICE employees would work in a project where Sidhu is hired. Further, he added that not only in India but the employees refuse to work abroad. While the demands have been made, there has been no confirmation to the fulfillment of the demands.

Along with the film industry, cricket fans and cricketers have also shown the indications to sever all the ties with Pakistan for their alleged involvement in the attacks on CRPF jawans.
