Pandit Uma Dogra unveils charm of Kathak

Nariman Point - Uma Dogra, a Kathak exponent is one of the most compelling dancers of India. She is honoured as 'Pandit' Uma Dogra who is enthralling audiences all over India with her classical moves.

Uma Dogra was present in NCPA auditorium to teach students of SNDA (Sumeet Nagadev Dance Arts). Dogra started from the scratch and captivated the audiences and the amateur dancers trying their hands at the classical dance form. Present along with the students were the guardian who seems dazzled by the performance.

Kathak is one of the major forms of Indian classical dance. Origin of the dance form is attributed to the travelling bards of ancient Northern India, known as Kathakars or storytellers.
