As per recent updates, Veteran actress Shabana Azmi recently joined Divya Dutta and Swara Bhasker in Sheer Qorma, and it is now being reported that she will also be a part of Steven Spielberg’s upcoming series Halo, where she will play Admiral Margaret Parangosky, head of the Office of Naval Intelligence.

Sharing her journey of getting the role, Azmi said, “It just fell into my lap. I had to give up on two projects I was scheduled to do in Mumbai but figured it would be worth it. It can't get any bigger than this. Asian actors have been fighting for color-blind casting for years... finally, it’s become a reality. This is new territory for me. I am both excited and nervous which is a good place to be in.”

Besides her, Halo also stars Natascha McElhone, Bokeem Woodbine, Bentley Kalu, Natasha Culzac and Kate Kennedy in the series.

Based on popular video game franchise, Halo will be directed by Otto Bathurst and produced by Showtime, and the nine-part series will release in 2021.
