We believe that a mother-son bond is the strongest and unconditional love is the backbone of this relationship. But in recent times, we have come across tragic cases which tarnish the beautiful bond. Geeta Kapoor, a 58-year-old woman was abandoned at a hospital by her son who is a choreographer. The son took his ailing mother to the hospital as her blood pressure had dropped drastically low and required immediate medical intervention. She was admitted to the SRV Hospital in Goregaon. After a month-long treatment, the woman was cured and declared healthy by the doctors but when her son was contacted, he was nowhere to be found.
The hospital bill amounted to around Rs 1.5 lakh and she had nobody to sign the discharge papers or pay the bill. The hospital staff has found out that she has no house to go back to and the police are trying to contact her son. Moreover, the hospital staff believe the police are doing little to help.
This story is heart-breaking as we can imagine how the mother must’ve felt when she realised her son had abandoned her.
